Next Jump was founded in 1994 making print coupon books for college campuses and eventually for corporate employees in partnership with human resource departments of F1000 companies.
WHAT we do as a company has evolved over the years, however we believe something much more important is WHY we exist, why we go to work and why we are building what we're building.
WHAT we do has been categorized by the NYTimes, TechCrunch, Gartner/Forrester/IDC analysts as the potential counterweight competitor to Amazon. However we’ve built our ecommerce marketplace as a B2B Amazon, never competing with any retailer but having partnered with over 30,000 merchants - national big box (Walmart, BestBuy, Target), manufacturers (Lenovo, Sony, Panasonic, GE), mid-size (B&H Photo, Skull Candy, Sur La table), to local merchants. In addition, we built a unique direct marketing channel, giving us the largest access to people with jobs, by partnering with over 90,000 HR-departments to reach corporate employees at work.
To do the LITTLE THINGS that allows others to do the GREAT THINGS they are MEANT TO DO.

We believe we can change the world, but recognize the first step towards that goal is striving to continually better ourselves. Throughout our site you will see this practice in action – from Next Jump University to Mentorship we are constantly challenging ourselves to improve, which falls under Better Me. After many iterations we have developed some 'best practices' which we want open source and share – this the Better You part of our philosophy. Changing the world is a big, hairy, audacious goal and we cannot do it alone. We look to you to help better us, our community.
We have an audacious goal to make the world better by fundamentally changing the way companies run. We discovered a universal formula in how company cultures should be built:
Better Me + Better You = Better Us.
Companies tend to be too "better me" focused. Charities are too "better you" focused. Striking a balance and building a growing cycle of better me to better you (repeat over and over) is what we've found to be the key ingredient to success. All our cultural investments are made to better our employees (NxJumpers) for the purpose of getting better, strong and smarter so that we can help others.
We are sharing and training other leaders (even outside NxJ) to recognize and have the courage that there is no other way to build a business but with a Better ME+YOU=US culture.
What sets Next Jump apart is our culture and focus on human capital. We have become the go-to destination for engineers from the top east coast universities. Experts have called Next Jump the Demonstration Project, proving the combination of caring for your employees and helping the world become a better place while running a successful business is possible.
