Job Description:

Next Jump is looking for a Mobile Visual Designer who has a passion for consumer-oriented mobile application and mobile website design. In addition to a strong sense of visual design, you must have a passion for user-centered mobile experiences. You will be responsible for working with engineering and product leads to translate conceptual ideas into engaging design solutions. You will lead design through initial concepts and inspirational visuals through the design and build process for all Next Jump mobile applications and mobile websites.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with product managers, and engineering to create wireframe workflows and visual design mockups
  • Innovate, refine and implement product design by means of visual and functional solutions that respond to consumer needs
  • Manage workflow and deadlines of multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Identify and implement requirements, develop and maintain UI specifications and guidelines while resolving tradeoffs and implementation issues
  • Develop HTML5/CSS templates as needed

Requirements:

  • Only portfolios with mobile design experience will be considered
  • Minimum of 3 years experience designing web and mobile user interfaces
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design processes, usability principles and information architecture
  • Ability to prioritize, and manage work to critical project deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Formal education in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or other related visual arts
  • High Proficiency in established software tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Experience interacting with management, communicating and presenting design initiatives and priorities in professional and corporate settings
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organization skills and a keen attention to details
