Presentation given by Charlie Kim, Next Jump’s Co-CEO, at Next Jump Leadership Academy on February 10, 2017, with leaders in attendance from the field of education including The New American Academy and the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Two factors critical to a culture of elite performance:

  • GAS (“give a shit”)

  • No Lying, Hiding, Faking

To engineer a culture of elite performance, leaders need to foster GAS and No Lying, Hiding, Faking in their organizations. People who “give a shit” and are radically transparent.  Most organizations are filled with the opposite: NO GAS (people who don’t care) and lots of LHF (politics, bureaucracy, lying, hiding, faking)

Cultures that promote GAS and No Lying, Hiding, Faking can be engineered.
