First Thursday Game Night

This First Thursday, we’re doing something deceptively simple—and surprisingly powerful: we’re playing games.

Think different games happening at the same time, led by members of the community. Table-style setups, rotating groups, laughter, light competition, and a lot of “wait, how do I already know you?” moments.

There’s real science behind why this works. Games create structure (so it’s easier to jump in), shared experience (so connection happens faster), and just enough playfulness to lower social guardrails. Instead of awkward small talk, you’re collaborating, reacting, laughing—and watching trust form in real time.

What to expect

• Multiple games running at once (card games, party games, strategy, silly + thoughtful)

• Community members acting as game leaders and facilitators

• Easy ways to rotate tables and meet new people naturally

• A night designed to help people connect—not network

First Thursdays are our signature monthly gatherings—each one centered around a different theme, but always designed to spark meaningful connections across industries. Past evenings have featured AI x Food, Dancers & the Chefs, and a film premiere from an Oscar-winning director.

CEO HAPPY HOUR (10AM - 1PM Fridays after First Thursday): After a smashing inaugural session, we’ll be opening up Friday after First Thursday as a time to connect, reflect, and brainstorm in pairs while we clean up together (a ritual we also do as Next Jumpers).
