About the Event
On the morning and afternoon of Harvest Festival, we’ll be bringing back an old Next Jump tradition: FitNut Biometric Screenings.
This will be an exclusive, invite + appointment-only experience in our New York office. We’re bringing in a team to run comprehensive diagnostic screenings, along with offering flu shots ahead of the winter months.
The idea is simple: make it easier to make the healthy choice by giving you the data to understand where you are today.
Your screening will include:
Lipid Profile — HDL, LDL, triglycerides and total cholesterol
Glucose — blood sugar levels and an indicator of diabetes risk
Blood Pressure — the pressure in your arteries as your heart pumps blood
Body Fat — the percentage of your body made up of fat
BMI — body mass index based on your height-to-weight ratio
Flu Shots
You’ll also have an on-site health consultant to walk you through your results and help you understand what they mean. From there, we want to help connect the data to action with some help from Chef Dani on the food side, or on the fitness side with some help from our coaches.
Why are we doing this?
We want our community to grow together and do great things, and part of that is taking care of the whole human. There are two Next Jump frameworks behind this:
1. PEMSs — Physical, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual + Social
All five need investment. This screening is at the foundation, with taking care of Physical.
2. Better Me + Better You = Better Us
Our community and culture are built around the idea that investing in ourselves helps us better invest in others and ultimately makes the whole community stronger.
Think of this as our give toward your “Better Me.”

A Little History
FitNut, short for “Fitness & Nutrition,” was one of the culture initiatives we ran for years at Next Jump with a simple goal: make the healthiest choice the easiest choice and create an environment where people could thrive.
It encompassed all of our fitness programs, from spin, boxing and Pilates to our weekly fitness competitions and participation in the American Heart Association Wall Street Run & Heart Walk, as well as nutrition programs, like keeping healthy snacks around the office (nuts were, and still are, a big thing for us).
It also included twice-a-year biometric screenings across all three of our offices in New York, Boston, and London, open to employees, friends, and family. We used to say, “You can’t fix something if you don’t know it’s broken.” The screenings made it easy for Next Jumpers to get the data they needed. We’d bring in a company to run full blood panels measuring lipid profile, glucose, blood pressure, and more, with health professionals on-site to walk you through your results and how to start tackling anything that came up.
Our fitness coaches could then help you build a plan from the fitness side. And because we ran the screenings twice a year alongside all of our fitness programs, you could actually make changes, build a routine and see whether your numbers improved over time.
While we don’t call it FitNut anymore, that mentality is still built into our office and culture today—305 Dance, Pilates, fermented cabbage, bone broth and more are all ways we continue to take care of the physical.
