Talk 1: Words Matter – What Your Job Descriptions Really Say About Your Organisation

Manny Moreno & Sanchia Neilson, Co-Founders, Data Everyday

"Job description language has become a trust test rather than formality. This research feels like a mirror we didn't want but definitely needed." – Gifty Enright, Keynote Speaker, Author & Coach

Data Everyday asked 100+ people to rate 69 words and phrases from real job descriptions. The results reveal how language – intentional or otherwise – filters out talent, with 1 in 4 candidates self-selecting out before they even apply.

In this interactive session, Manny and Sanch will explore the three themes that emerged (trust, exploitation and "playing the game"), why career level creates the biggest gap in how people read job ads, and leave you with practical AI prompts you can use straight away to audit your own descriptions.

About Data Everyday: Data Everyday (www.dataeveryday.org) believe in data fluency for everyone. They run workshops that give people practical experience thinking about data, using it to make work better and to prove impact. Their approach is hands-on: theory is nice, but real capability comes from working through real problems in a safe space where it's okay to course-correct. Participants leave not just knowing the theory, but feeling confident applying a set of frameworks to their own craft.

Talk 2: Who Do You Need to Become Now? Leadership, Identity and Realignment in a Changing World

Terri McNerney, Executive Coach & Founder, Inspire the Best

Session Overview

Today's leaders are navigating unprecedented change. AI, new ways of working, shifting expectations and continual transformation are asking organisations and the people within them to adapt faster than ever before.

While organisations are rightly focusing on what needs to change externally, many leaders are discovering that their biggest challenge is internal.

The strengths that have brought us success can, over time, become the habits that limit our future growth.

Drawing on insights from my book Dive Deep to Rise Higher, I'll explore why leadership transitions are often identity transitions, and why sustainable leadership growth begins by realigning purpose, identity and presence before changing behaviour.

The session will include practical insights, coaching stories and reflective questions that participants can immediately apply to their own leadership journey and to the leaders they support.

About Terri

Her clients include global organisations across financial services, engineering, technology and professional services, where she supports leaders navigating promotion, organisational change and key career transitions.

Terri believes that lasting leadership change begins not by asking, "What do I need to do differently?" but "Who do I need to become now?"
